This is my first blog post and I decided to start with some advices about how to become a marketing Pro. So, let’s start! I apologize in advance for the grammatical mistakes 🙂
Marketing is a way of thinking, it’s not just the speciality at university. When someone tells me that works as marketer I always ask him “What exactly do”. I love marketing because it gives you a freedom in different directions. How to become a marketing Pro in a few steps (according to me):
1. Define your strengths
if you are a beginner, I recommend you to write on a piece of paper what are your strengths. They are a mixture of your talents, knowledge and skills. What is your passion? What are your weaknesses? What career you want to build?
2. Be Certified
Everyone should have a desire to learn! In the Internet there are many free and paid courses for marketing. Be careful, because sometimes many courses can deceive you! Appreciate your time! I recommend these courses:
Google AdWords Certification – “is a professional accreditation that Google offers to individuals who demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced aspects of AdWords”. There are 6 courses:
- AdWords Fundamentals;
- Search Advertising;
- Display Advertising;
- Mobile Advertising;
- Video Advertising;
- Shopping Advertising.
HubSpot Academy – I love their blog, containing useful advice. The free courses are:
- Inbound Certification;
- Email Marketing;
- Inbound Sales;
- Content Marketing;
- Sales Software;
- Growth-Driven Design;
- HubSpot Design.
Moz Academy – learn about SEO, link building, social media and etc. The choice is yours!
Alison – the courses are for beginners and advanced marketers.
There are many more courses and I promise to write a separate article about it.
3. Connect with other Professionals
You can contact them through LinkedIn, LinkedIn groups, Facebook group and etc. Be polite!
